Just Married - Simple Stories - Happily Ever After

Hi everybody!
I am finally able to share with you my first project for Simple Stories! This layout features the beautiful HAPPILY EVER AFTER collection. We haven’t been invited to too many weddings lately due to the way things are around the world. However, I decided to finally record my brother’s wedding. It was such a happy occasion, and the new Simple Stories collection is just perfect to document this beautiful event.

I just love how easy this page came together. My inspiration was the golden frame from the Romance paper. I fussy-cut it out and mounted it with double sided sticky foam pads on the B side of the Just Married paper. I used the Photo Mat Template to help me effortlessly mount my photograph on a piece cut-out of the B side of the 2x2/4x4 elements paper.

I used several ephemera from the Bits and Pieces pack as well as from the Journal Bits and Pieces to build-up interest and details around the photograph. This helps to draw the eye to what should be the focus of your page.

The Foam Sticker pack gave me the perfect title with “Just Married”. It was the perfect fit both in size and with the meaning as the photograph had been taken shortly after the wedding ceremony.

What better than to finish off this layout with a bit of bling?! For that, I used the amazing Decorative Brads. They added just the right amount of glam, perfect for a wedding layout!

I had so much fun creating this layout! I hope you check the new HAPPILY EVER AFTER collection from Simple Stories at your local scrapbook supplies store. You are going to feel love all around you!

Keep it Real - Hey Little Magpie - PinkFresh Studio Keeping it Real

"<yoastmark

For this layout I wanted to focus on two of the greener papers: A little chaos and Reality check.

"<yoastmark

A normal design rule would be to use the darker paper on the bottom however in this instance it is a rule that can be broken.

"<yoastmark

The darker paper at the top creates the perfect base for my photo and embellishments. I mounted the photograph on the yellow side of Daily Grind. This helps it to stand out. I then layered Floral Ephemeras and the basic Ephemeras around my photograph.

The lighter bottom allowed me to create a tone-on-tone mixed media background. This helps create a visual base for the elements I wanted to add in order to create more interest on my layout. The puffy stickers and cardstock stickers were a great addition.

Once again I mounted the Puffy phrase stickers onto some paper to create my title. This is a technique I love to use. Lastly, a few drops of Nuvo Drops for added details.

Lots of love xx

Perfectly Good - Hey Little Magpie - PinkFresh Studio Keeping it Real

"<yoastmark

Keeping it Real by PinkFresh studio is a different collection from what we see usually for sure! The B-side of the Big-mood paper is gorgeous. I cut out all the colourful stripes and then glue them back in the same order on a sheet of white cardstock. A single line on glue in the middle of each stripe is enough to secure them. I then ran the sheet of paper down my sewing machine, stitching each edge of each stripe. Once done, I ruffled the edges to lift them up and create an awesome texture.

Next step, I placed my photographs and then decorated around them with the Floral Ephemeras.

Puffy stickers and the second pack of Ephemeras are perfect to add extra dimension.

"<yoastmark

Layering the different elements cerate depth and enough separation between the photographs without breaking the continuity.

"<yoastmark

I glued the Puffy phrase stickers onto some paper to create my title. This helps my title stand-out without making it too chunky.

I finished off by adding some of the Cardstock Stickers to add some more straight lines again which helps my clustering of photographs and embellishment merge with the background.

Lots of love,
